Who we are

At Pink Manatee Consulting, we’re more than just a writing firm. We’re passionate and committed to expression through writing. Our mission is to provide comprehensive services for all writers, and help those new to writing unleash the potential within. We’re dedicated to serving our community, customers, and partners with integrity, support, and a personal touch.

As a writer myself, I strongly believe in the power of the written word and its incredible potential as an outlet for personal expression, a medium of inspiration, and even a catalyst for significant change in our world.

Our organization’s name comes from my lifelong love of Manatees (yes, those walrus/seal/cow hybrid type sea animals native to Florida). Much like my passion for writing, I’ve had a passion for these sweet and gentle creatures since I was young, and made it my mission to contribute to their removal from the endangered species list through donations, remote adoptions, 5Ks, and spreading awareness. In 1991, only 1,478 manatees remained on earth. Things looked hopeless – but not impossible. Finally, in April 2017, thanks to the tireless, decades-long efforts by environmentalists, conservationists, researchers, and animal lovers alike, manatees were removed from the endangered species list. Today, researchers estimate that there are between 8,350 and 11,730 manatees in existence.

There are parallels in that story — and in any story of success and perseverance, really — that can be made to writing. You start with a feeling of not knowing where to start. How can you make this happen? How can you make a difference? Achieving any goal or dream is truly a labour of intention and perseverance. Everyone was rooting for the survival of the manatee, but they needed to determine the help, support, and tools necessary for success. And in the same way, anything we pursue… learning a new sport, mastering a hobby, writing a book… takes that same kind of effort, determination, and perseverance on our own parts. It is, after all, our journey. However, the right tools, strategy, and support can be critical in these times. If you set yourself up for success, anything is possible.

Writing can often be an intimidating process. Sitting down with nothing but a pen and paper, or a document on a computer and staring at that blank page can be daunting, scary, and overwhelming. However, those feelings can be overcome with the right tools and support. So let us support you in your writing.
